Enabling forms to be e-mailed involves using server side programming such as cgi scripting, or other programs such as Cold Fusion, ASP or PHP. These programs take the form and send it to the required email recipient.
A downloadable form should be a PDF document or other text format such as Microsoft Word document. This allows the form to be filled in by hand and either mailed or faxed to the appropriate destination. In the version 6 of Adobe Acrobat, you can save text from a PDF file and include it in an email.
